Amy Ross  is an Interior Consultant, whose passion for organizing and decorating seemed to come naturally...

The youngest of five girls, and parents with  "Great Depression Clutter Syndrome" -  Amy was always looking for ways to maximize storage growing up.  Amy studied interior design at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and took on many challenged living spaces during her college years. Using what little means she had, she always made the most out of a space.  "I found my niche combining my decorating skills with my organizing itch." Amy explains, "after getting married and raising my sons ~ I was constantly looking for alternatives to store clothes, and toys and all the "stuff " that comes with having a family."

She calls her philosophy "form and function with an ergonomic twist."  Her design for every room is to maximize storage, function, beauty and comfort, but also be able to maintain it with the least amount of   effort. Amy looks forward to creating comfortable spaces and helping people, help themselves by introducing organization into their lives. Her 15 years in customer service has enabled her to really listen to a client's needs and wants, and making sure they are satisfied with the end result.

 She strives to maintain the education and professionalism needed to succeed. She has joined some wonderful affiliations continuing to educate herself in her profession and as a female business owner. She helps to educate others and be a resource to the public, by raising awareness in the time and many services she donates. As she tells clients "Trying or not, I learn something new every day" .

Amy was a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and a Charter member of the NAPO-Pittsburgh Chapter 2004-2007. She has also completed professional training in the art of "One Day Decorating" Interior Redesign and Real Estate Staging® by industry leader Joanne Lenart-Weary .  She is recognized as a Certified Interior Redesign Specialist and Home Staging Specialist of IRIS, ODDAA and a Charter Member of the Society of Decorating Professionals (SDP) and listed in the national Interior Redesign Directory and Top Interior Decorators Directory (IDD). She is also a member of Merchant Circle.

 Excited about being a part of this fast growing industry, and realizing two designer heads are better than one, Amy combines talents with redesigner, Beth Sammarone working as The Redesign Team. Together they have founded the Pittsburgh Area Redesigners & Interior Specialists (PA-RIS) hoping to promote growth and networking with other redesigners and businesses offering specialty services in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Amy also co-founded Westmoreland County Professional Organizers (WMCPO) with fellow organizers, Maureen Balko and Jody Adams, to help raise awareness of the benefits of organizing in Westmoreland Co. residents through their annual "Organizing Makeover Contest"

 Looking for inspiring new ways to help her clients, Amy recently took classes to learn about the ancient art of feng shui with local practitioner, Yvonne Phillips. Concluding, the many facets of design and organizing are combined and intertwined, she is aware of how furniture, accessory placement, collecting and clearing out clutter affects peoples lives on many levels. She recognizes that surrounding yourself with clutter is often a reflection of something deeper going on in your life.  She learned that it's not just about the "stuff" ~ Opening yourself up in your physical space, also opens you to your emotional, psychological, and spiritual space as well.

Letting go of the old... Welcomes in the new... but dont get too carried away - because  when your collections become dust collectors? Its time to De clutter ~De stress ~ and get Designed! 

With the support of her loving family, great friends and associates, Amy jumped in with both feet and decided to start her own business to serve the Pittsburgh Area and surrounding communituies she grew up in.  In doing so, she found herself with a few other "hats" along the way...
